Hi Gordon, and IPC LF Listservers,

I did a little looking on the eu site and I gave up since it always gets so
darn confusing.

I think based on the below in the Official Journal 5.12.2002 page 0259 that
cadmium plating was an allowed, and legislated exemption, for the Swiss and
the Australians through 1998 and then this new directive was supposed to
run out in 2003 so again cadmium plating would not be allowed. 76/767/EC
or EEC is also noted as a base Directive.

This will hopefully get your there

I have no idea, yet I am interested in electronic contacts, screws and what
not so if anyone else wants to do some looking GREAT!!

Yours in Engineering, Dave

P.S. If you will look you may giggle that there is a letter of complaint
that based upon EU behaviors, of restrictions I guess on research, they
feel they will fall behind the US and Japan.
