Which -13 product are they recommending? ParkNelco makes several. My guess is they mean the N4000-13 high Tg low z-axis expansion material, but there is also N9000-13(PTFE) and N4380-13 (mod. Epoxy). Check the specs at http://www.parknelco.com and verify which product your fabricator is recomending before making any changes.

Hello,
We have an application, were we spec in FR-5 laminate. Our PCB house is recommending Nelco-13. Can anyone help me in addressing what are the PRO's and CON's of switching to Nelco-13?
Our application does see extremes of heat 260°C for 10 seconds at least four times. Must operate at elevated temperature of 85°C.
