No.
Checking viscosity of paste is not that easy and our experience on this is
that we tend to have lots of fruitless dialogue with the small number of
people who still do it as a hang over from times past. The dialogue is
debating the relevance or otherwise of small differences in numbers which
are actually caused by faulty customer technique.
You should be able to locate a ship to line paste supplier so there is no
need to check solder paste on receiving.
In use it is better to control the paste by monitoring rate of issue to
line. This will ensure paste is as near to as received condition as possible
when used. We have an Apps sheet on this on our web site. (Or at least we
should have by now, if not contact me and I will send you the text for it if
you are interested).

Subject: [TN] Paste Viscosity measurement on production
Hi All,
We currently monitor temp/humidity of our SMT environment - would there be
added value by introducing viscosity checks? (we do not experience
viscosity-related defects)
TIA
