Just the one assy. of five. The last one, which was delayed because I broke a
VERY expensive fiber optic cable. I tried a little experiment last night.
Used new copper and treated it with the chemicals we use. The WS flux did
turn green but not quite the same color. Seems odd though that the residue is
on parts that were pasted and reflowed and washed several time. It does not
appear on the parts that were hand soldered and manually cleaned.
Thanks for putting the pics up. Be sure to take them off in a couple of days.
Don't wanna load up your site. I am trying to get our network guys to set up
something so I can post pictures too.

Hi Charles!

Finally got your pictures up. Go to: http://www.stevezeva.homestead.com and
look at "Green Residue 1 and 2". Looking at the pictures, it sure looks like
something is reacting with the copper. Maybe some flux got accidently
splashed
or spilled on the board after it was cleaned. How many assemblies exhibit
this
problem?
