Dear Colleagues,

You're hearing more and more about the new technologies that can help
your organization, but perhaps you're not sure how to implement them.
As a PCB designer, you are tasked with keeping up with the new
processes, solutions and software that will keep your company
competitive. But how do you get the specific information and resources
you need? Participate in the 2004 Designers Learning Symposium hosted by
the IPC Designers Council on July 15-17 in Boston, Massachusetts,
http://dc.ipc.org/DLS-Boston. Here you will find out how understanding
frequently mentioned and much heralded technologies and applications can
be your roadmap to success.

Industry experts, especially those with extensive design experience,
will give you insight into the following subjects:

* Designing Embedded Resistors and Capacitors
* Introduction to Lead-Free PCB Soldering Technologies for
Designers
* BGA implementation - Design Issues
* What Constitutes a Good Design
*       Design for Electrical Performance

You'll even get a chance to apply your new knowledge on design for
manufacture at an off site facility. Learn new skills and apply them
to actual manufacturing practices using the latest in design software.

This two day intensive course will cover everything on embedded passives
from A-Z. And, after this event, you can even earn your CID or CID+,
IPC Designers Certification, by attending the two day workshop and
taking the corresponding exam. Increase your visibility in the design
field by having the credentials that matter.

The 2004 Designers Learning Symposium will provide you with the
educational resources you need to fully understand the impact of
technologies on the design process. Register today at
http://dc.ipc.org/DLS-Boston or call 847-790-5313.

Look forward to seeing you there.
