Hi Sun's Chuck, Mark, and IPC LF Listservers,

Just to add one more note on this tread even though it seems to belong
someplace else in the IPC forum structure.

BeO is also used as Mark described in Power hybrids or sometimes in Laser
Diode substrate applications where thermal conductivity becomes important.

260 W/mK BeO vs 100-260 AIN, 22 Alumina, .8-2 Glass Ceramic
 are some of the Thermal Conductivity numbers from one of my books.
 As you can see BeO is a great heat conductor.
