Hi IPC LF Listservers,

This is a very interesting topic.

On the one hand we have BrianE telling us how a solid to gas protective
transformation is occuring due to something coated on the paper; as
well as, an environmental gases reaction and on the other we have Abbott
telling us about mechanical transfer, other experiences. Both men as we
know are quite knowledgable, with great input to this list.

Originally I thought simply as you did that the paper was a protector
for handling, transporation, surface damages that easily occur with these
monomolecular Immersion layers.

Now I am not sure what is happening with these papers. Is it product
marketing mumbo jumbo that deludes us into quasi-science or is it real
and what is really happening.



This is interesting.
