To answer the original question, isn't it true that
the immersion silver is very prone to handling
damages.  Any immersion reaction(e.g. immersion
silver, immersion tin) would result in a very thin
coating.  From what I know, the reason there are paper
separators is to protect the surface finish from
handling damage.  It is also true that silver would
react with any sulfur in paper so at the very least,
the paper separator should be sulfur-free paper.  So I
believe that any immersion silver boards which are
packed containing several boards should be separated
by a sulfur-free paper.
