Our product has an electronic controller, in some instances we use brass
nuts and washers for terminating from our loom to various electrical
circuits such as elements.
The (RoHS) directive States “Lead as an alloying element in steel
containing up to 0,35 % lead by
weight, aluminium containing up to 0,4 % lead by weight and as a copper
alloy containing up to 4 % lead by weight”
Brass is not covered in the directive!
Brass usually contains lead for machining.
Does this mean we are unable to use brass as an electrical conductor?
