Bill,

What about HASL with a lead-free solder?

This process has been running successfully at a number of PCB shops in Europe
for more than a year now. The demand for lead-free boards is still fairly
limited but the indications are that lead-free HASL is a viable process that
delivers a finish that is as good as tin-lead HASL in terms of appearance,
coplanarity and solderable shelf life.
