I calculated approximately 10% bromide in FR4 based
on an old IPC Base Materials Basics workshop handbook
which states that "For FR-4 resins the total bromine content
is approximately 21% by weight in order to maintain
a UL 94 V-O rating without additives."
Then, if you take into account the ratio of epoxy to glass in
FR4, the amount of bromine is approximately 10% +/- 2%.
