Question: Is the following statement about lead-free solder not requiring venting, etc.
  true?

"Tin-silver-copper alloys have been developed as substitutes. The costs of these
replacement solders are only marginally higher than the lead solders but there could be
savings at the manufacturing end because the new solders will not require the venting
and management for worker and environmental protection which was formerly necessary with
lead solder during production"

Thanks
