Do you mean bromine or bromide? Bromide assumes an ionic bond to a
cation. You should have practically very little of this, assuming you
are not using HASL or a hydrobromide-activated flux. If you mean the
flame retardants in the substrate AND some components, then these are
not bromides but bromine which is covalently bonded to carbon. This may
sound like nit-picking, but it ain't. It is very important, chemically
speaking. Chemistry is a science, not an art form, and terminology is
very important in all science.
