Hello,

I do agreed with Ramon that the press fit connector manufacturer should
recommend the nominal barrel diameter and tolerances for their product.
This practice is quite common in most of the connector manufacturers
whereby there is a page that provide the recommended PCB layout for
their connectors.

I do not know what type of connector pins you are using, but the ones I have seen have an eye shape part of the pin that acts as a spring and puts pressure on opposite sides of the barrel walls to create a cold solder fusion between the pin and the barrel.
