Victor:
                The press fit connector manufacturer should recommend the nominal barrel diameter and  tolerances for the connector you are using. I do not know what type of connector pins you are using, but the ones I have seen have an eye shape part of the pin that acts as a spring and puts pressure on opposite sides of the barrel walls to create a cold solder fusion between the pin and the barrel.
