Ken;

  How about using a digital torque wrench with a data link for data
retrieval? Provide your customer with a print out of the torque
measurements, and your done. A dab of paint on the screw means it has been
torqued.

  This is one link, I'm sure there are others that make these.

Subject: Torque Stripe

Good Morning Technetters,

We have a new program in house where the customer is asking us for torque
verification on some hardware. I was wondering if any of you have some
clever ideas to make this an easy task. The obvious solutions are adding
some paint after torque, having someone check the torque after torquing and
having a witness while torquing. All of these are sort of painful.

By the way we are torquing phillips head screws.

Thanks for any thoughts,

KennyB
