CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
IPC and the College of Business Administration at Cal Poly Pomona
Present, Best in the Business: Fine Tuning Operations and Distribution
May 25, 2004 Embassy Suites Hotel Covina, CA

Companies in the electronics industry - OEMs, printed circuit board and EMS companies and their suppliers - have been forced to fight for every measure of competitive advantage. Companies should not overlook the importance of their Information Technology (IT) infrastructure as an engine for growth and efficiency. This new conference, sponsored by IPC and California State Polytechnic University Pomona College of Business Administration, will focus on the needs of small to medium sized manufacturing and service companies.

Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP Systems) offer the business the tools for running the business. Together with the appropriate hardware and software, the ERP system helps management in planning, managing and execution of the business. Company success depends on when and how the ERP system regimen is put in place and its power leveraged to manage the various aspects of the enterprise. Early adopters will harness ERP systems power to make the enterprise function using best practices. Best business practices enable the company to be customer focused, process centric and deliver the highest return on investment.

Conference Chair: N.T."Bala" Balakrishnan CFPIM, CQE, Technology & Operations Management, College of Business, Cal Poly Pomona
