Depending on your components, and which process you are talking about (SMT
or Thole) you could check out Bivar, they make spacers, and some are water
soluble I believe, so they magically go away when you don't need them
anymore.

Subject: [TN] Spacer material
Fellow TechNet's,
I need to control the standoff distance of some electronic components so 15
to 20 mils of epoxy can be applied during installation. I thought about
using standard fishing line as the spacer material since it is available in
different diameters. Does anybody have any other ideas or comments on using
fishing line? I am fishing for ideas. thanks
joe
