This also concerns me.  I hope someone will keep pushing that this should be
a concern with whatever alloy they end up with.

I have not seen any reference to "tin plague" or "tin pest".  Is this not a
concern with 100% Sn leads parts?   Parts are considered to never see 13 deg
C temperatures?  There are a lot of cold warehouses on the East Coast US.
