Hi Francis,
We just received a system from Intelligent Vision Solutions, www.visionneeds.com, and it seems to be pretty solid. We don't have a lot of time with it yet but what we've see so far we like.
With a doubler it goes to about 175X which is plenty for our application. You can zoom it out to get a picture of a CCA about 8" X 10" which is a pretty incredible range. It has an S-video out that can plug directly into an S-video ready monitor or a digitizing card.
There is a learning curve to getting the best picture but not too bad. If you are doing extreme close up you need a really solid surface.
They seem to be a small operation but the owner, Chuck, is very responsive and prides himself in putting out a good, solid product.
That's about all I know for a Friday.

Subject: [TN] Any recommendation on a vision inspection system for
components (placement and value) as well as solderjoints quality?
Hi Technet,
Any recommendation on a vision inspection system for components (placement
and value) as well as solderjoints quality?
Will consider all suggestions, in-line/stand-alone.
Also be interested on hearing the Pros and Cons.
Thanks in advance.
Regards;
