Why yes they are. And I thought the same thing, not deep enough. But not all
pins the same either.

Are they Amphenol connectors? I was having some of the same issues. After
looking closer at the connectors, and then ultimately sending one of the
connectors to Amphenol, I (we) discovered that the leads hadn't been scored
deep
enough for the tie bar to be separated cleanly.
