Hello,

I hope some kind souls out there will extend your hand to help me.

For those you have been doing artwork or layout design will be aware
that to define design complexity is not that straight forward.
Parameters such as number of layers, componenets, placements,
interconnections, routability, design requirements such as impedance
matching, signal integrity, etc will affect the time to complete a
design and also complexity.

I am now ask to come up with a matrix or the parameter(s) that can be
used as the "yardstick" to determine how complex the design is. For
example, a 6 layers design does not necessary be able to complete faster
compare to another that is 12 layers. On the other hand, 2 designs with
the same board size and layers but one has 20 components while the other
has 200 components does not necessary mean the later will take longer or
more complex.

I would be very grateful to you all who respond to share with me what
method you use to determine design complexity and do you have a table
that give an estimate time against the complexity level.

A million thanks in advance.

Regards,
Wee Mei
