Now if the real solder gods are really with me, does that mean that
their most esteemed disciple has a copy of such paper?

Or will I be lost in the Internet searching for it?

Let me know one way or another...

Thanks again.

Hi Lee! The solder gods must be smiling on you today - I was able to
find
an old paper about the attachment of Jleads to an LCC package which may
be
of use to you! Pull this old paper:

T.D. Canning, "Use of SMT in High Reliability Commercial Avionics
Equipments", SMART IV Conference Proceedings, Paper 36, January 11-14,
1988.

Gang,

Have you ever soldered J-leads or gull leads onto a castellated part
(Leadless Chip Carrier)? I remember making a dip into a gull leaded
device a few times, but never a castellated part (Leadless Chip Carrier)
into a leaded part. I suspect that the solder joint reliability would be
poor.

If so, does any company provide this service?

Thanks for any help.
