        Hi Jean-François Bissonnette:
According to section 6.2 of the IPC J Std-001C there is a need for
the turret terminals to be flared from 35 to 120 deg. I found out that going
more than 40 degrees tends to crack the terminals. Specially if they are
coated with tin instead of eutectic solder. So we made a tool that is only
18 degrees from vertical which by adding the opposite side it adds to 36
degrees just over the minimum. We pressed them slightly with the tool so
they barely rotate and still have a mechanical connection.
Very few terminals crack using this very pointed tool.
        Regards,
        Ramon
