Hi Linda, you may want to check out IPC-6012, 3.5.1 Conductor Width and
Thickness. It allows minimum conductor width of 80% of the conductor pattern
supplied in the procurement document. Then IPC-A-600 also references
Conductor Width in Section 2.10.1.1 and it allows another 20% reduction for
Class 2, 3 and 30% for Class 3 from the minimum value for edge roughness,
nicks and so one for a given length along a conductor.

Hope this helps in getting you started in getting information on conductor
width requirements.

Subject: [TN] Carbon Traces

I am looking for specs on trace width requirements and criteria for
inspecting for defects. Also if anyone has any guidelines on rework for this
type of a circuit I would appreciate it.
