Due to winter storm, the SNEC meeting has been rescheduled for next Tuesday
the 10th of February.

MEETING OF THE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER

                       OF THE IPC DESIGNERS COUNCIL

Date: Tuesday, the 10th of February, 2004

Where: Connies in Derby

Time: Networking 6:00pm

Topic: Part 1- Lead Free Electronic Manufacturing and Design

We begin the new year with the first of a three part series on Lead Free
electronic assemblies. There has been much controversy surrounding lead
free initiatives that are being invoked worldwide. Part 1 will give us an
opportunity to look at the major issues facing design, fabrication and
assembly. Once we have identified these issues, the next meeting (Part 2),
will have a panel of suppliers discussing lead free materials such as
fluxes, solders, board and component lead finishes, to name a few. Part 3
will conclude this series with a panel representing the component, assembly
and fabrication industries.

The series is intended for all segments of product development addressing
the needs of designers, assemblers and fabricators.

Speaker: Gary Ferrari (Ferrari Technical Services), Happy Holden (Westwood
Associates) and John Quigley (Tech Circuits) will be moderating the Part 1
discussion.

Host: The meeting will be hosted by Tech Circuits, Inc.,
Wallingford, CT. Tech Circuits is globally recognized as a premier
manufacturer of "Time Critical" advanced technology printed circuit boards.
Since 1979 Tech Circuits has focused on prototype and quick turn
manufacturing of highly complex printed circuit boards in technology areas
such as controlled impedance, low loss, high frequency and RF materials,
blind/buried vias and HDI microvias, to name a few.
