Hi Keith! Yep, I have been following the developments as the investigations
have been published but there is always a pretty big hurdle between a
proven technology and its implementation into the various segments of the
electronics industry. The use environment demands on industrial electronics
accommodates technology change more readily than the use environment
demands on high performance electronics.

Dave,

I do not want to get commercial in this forum but proprietary Sn-Cu and
Sn-Ag-Cu eutectic alloys based on modification of the intermetallics with
ternary
and quaternary additions of suitable trace elements are available now. It
is
already a proven technology.
