We always use the stencilprinter for all our paste inspection. The only
other inspection we perform is for BGA networks that are so small the
printer doesn't quite do a good enough job. We are a low volume
manufacturer and I think the time spent programming the machine is well
worth it. The max time we spend setting up our printer is probably 4 hours
per board.

Hi Technet,

We've recently seen some threads on this forum about
inspection-machines for solder paste. I am just curious to know how many
of you are using inspection capabilities that are available in most
stencilprinters. The lack of postings about this subject makes me think
that I'm probably not the only one who decided that for low volumes the
advantages are not worth the programming-efforts.
Any comments ?
