We have experience with CyberOptics LSM, LSM II, CyberSentry, Orbotech Trion 9200 and ASC212. One of my coworkers did GR&R studies on Cybersentry and ASC212 and ASC212 had 5 % error due to measurement system versus 20% for the Sentry (primarily due to PCB to inspection system registration).

Give me a call and we can discuss offline if you want.

Well, the time has come that I may have actually convinced those who control the budget that a NEW piece of Paste Height Inspection Equipment may be of value. My intention behind this prospective purchase is Process Control, Product/Program Verification, and Process Validation (for printing Glue and Paste with components as small as CSBGA's and 0201's and as big as DPAK's and PLCC84's)

I have experience with the Cyberoptics 2D Products (LSM and Sentry) and I-Systems
I did a quick search and found there are a couple other manufacturers selling "Paste Inspection Systems".
These include: Panasonic, GSI Lumonics, Omron, Agilent, and Orbotech.

My questions are as follows (keep in mind we are a high mix low volume shop):
1. Are there any other manufacturers out there that I missed and should research?
2. Any Pro's/Con's about the equipment out there?
3. 2D vs. 3D -- Any strong opinions?
4. Accuracy and Repeatability -- Any idea who's is the best (in real life -- not just on paper?)
5. Any recommendations if I had to buy one today?
