It would be difficult to go into detail about the different drill
parameters, backup & entry materials, different material / resin systems,
drill machines, drill bits, etc... The best way to deal with this is to
design a DOE using your equipment, drills, materials, and evaluate the
effects of different infeeds, spindle speeds, hit counts, etc... By
sectioning and measuring the aspects of the drilled hole wall quality -
smear, gouging, nailheading, burring, just to name a few. Hope this is of
some help.
