Hi There,
I am about to purchase a Solderstar Neptune Data Logger. Having looked at a
few loggers, I found the Solderstar the most reasonably priced, very user
friendly (including the software) and it was designed with Lead Free in
mind. The software has a library of solder pastes (including lead free) and
ovens and checks your process is in spec. It has 4 or 6 K type
thermocouples.
I hope it turns out to be the best choice for me. Check out their website, I
think you can download the software to take a look.

Hi Technet,
Some years ago I replaced my defective Supermole with a much cheaper
Temprec thermologger, but because of the feature-limited software and
the increased profile-control that we'll need with leadfree I'm looking
again into the more advanced systems. The goal is of course to achieve
optimal oven-profiles on a wide variety of thermally demanding products
with minimal efforts.
I'm looking for some input about the strong and weaker points of the
systems that are currently on the market, like ECD, KIC and Datapaq.
Anyone willing to share their experiences ?
