Carrie,

Other things to consider:

1. How deep the cut, does it get into internal layers?
2. How long is the cut?
3. Is their any high voltage?
4. Is any copper exposed after cut?

I typically coat everything, less chance of problems later!

I agree spec should read, "AS"

This question goes out to all those Repair Guru's:

Paragraph 8 of Procedure 4.3.1 of IPC 7721A (Repair Guide) states "Coat the
area with epoxy IF needed".
Is that "IF" part correct?.  If so, what does "IF" mean.  Should that say
"AS" needed?  Or...are we actually given the option as far as using epoxy?
