This question goes out to all those Repair Guru's:

Paragraph 8 of Procedure 4.3.1 of IPC 7721A (Repair Guide) states "Coat the area with epoxy IF needed".
Is that "IF" part correct?.  If so, what does "IF" mean.  Should that say "AS" needed?  Or...are we actually given the option as far as using epoxy?
