See my post to SteveG re the DEC issue with solder mask. Your pix look much
like theirs. Is yours a UV cured mask? If so, incompletely UV cured masks will
thermally cure during wave or reflow soldering. In the case of wave solder,
this 'cure' step can bind dross and solder bits to the surface, giving it a
greyish colour.
