Hi,

As far as I know there are no nationally legislated requirements on material
content of PCBs in Japan. Individual firms are offering halogen and lead
free products, presumably the requirements vary according to the company.
There is also a computer eco-label in Japan, the PC Green Label
(http://www.pc3r.jp/gl_dl.html ), but certification apparently only requires
removal of brominated flame retardants from casings over 25g, not the PCBs.

Anyone out there feel free to correct me if I have it wrong.

Best regards, Eric
