We have an old Versatronics RV4 which they now service/maintain and it is
ideal for low volume high mix as long as you sufficient feeders available.
With the addition of a further RV4 we will have much improved capacity and
versatility.

I've been asked to look at options for Surface Mount Placement equipment
which is geared towards low-volume, high-mix.  In common with a lot of
companies, we are seeing a shift in our market towards high tech, low
volume work and we need to assess how best to meet that requirement.
The ability to use strips of components, and/or loose components as well
as the more traditional reels is essential.  Most of the SMT equipment
in the market is targeted towards high volume, so I would welcome any
suggestions.
