I have a personal guideline that the ramp rate is calculated over at
least 20 second intervals.

One manufacturer is insisting that the 3 degree C per second maximum ramp
rate applies to intervals less than 5 seconds in length and all the way
back down to room temperature.

What does everyone else use for the minimum interval over which the ramp
rate is measured?
