I have another question along this same subject line.

If everyone is going nuts over "Tin Whiskers" why are the component
manufacturers using tin as an alternative finish to tin/lead? Almost every
stone you turn over, regarding going lead free, you find an article on "Tin
Whiskers". Why not switch to something else that the industry is not having
trouble with???
