Chris,

Go the www.thermalman.com. There are some papers there that will shed some
light on your problem as well as a calculator that will allow you to determine
the affects of internal planes on the current carrying capacity of conductors
in the structure. This information is a result of extensive experiments and
forms the basis of a new current carrying capacity IPC standard, soon to be
released.
