Hi Hugh,
Any PWB with less than 0.8 mils of cu in the hole can be subject to via
barrel cracking [in fact, even thicker Cu plating can show barrel failures for
thicker PWBs and smaller hole diameters], drilling-, and plating-quality are also
important.
