Eric,
We recently purchased 2 DEK's (1 used and 1 new) and had them fitted with the old AutoFlex because of the problems we have seen with the Formflex. We do not have Formflex here, but, I have worked with Formflex in the past and, Despite DEK's sales pitch that they have corrected the problems (pins sticking), we have not seen an improvement at locations that are using it. What we have seen is an increase in change-over time as well as an unrealistic set-up requirement using heavy weights. "Grid Lock" is a competing product that uses a similar methodology of a series of pins but, seems to have worked through the bugs.

I think DEK is on the right path, but, are having technical difficulties that have not yet been resolved.

Is it possible to simply disable the Formflex and use magnetic pins so that the DEK can still be utilized?

Good luck,

-Carrie

Good Morning Everybody,
I was wondering if anybody had any comments to make about the reliability of the Formflex system and the back-up given for this product. I am struggling with ours despite cleaning and much exercising. (Formflex, not me!) The ELA has now been out of action for a week and we have transferred production back to the old SMTech.
Replies off line if you feel more comfortable.
Regards
Eric Dawson
