THe SMR 400 is a 4 zone oven. We use a Vitronics s-400 (also 4 zones) but are using it with 'conventional' (meaning lead) solder. With only 4 zones, you will have to be pretty tight with your reflow profile, as there is not a lot of preheat\reflow time to work with. In a high mix environment you may to do a lot of conveyor speed changes. Ours has worked near flawlessly over the past 7 years, but our product has traditionally been close to three or four small sizes.
With the higher reflow temps needed for lead-free, a 4 zone oven might not have have enough 'room' to give you a better production. IMO, to lessen your future headaches, you may want to consider a longer oven for lead free. I am.

owner of this equipment hardly used it.
However, I know nothing about this machine performance.
I know this is a rather old machine, I beleive there are quite number of
people still using it, and if some one would like to advise me on the
performance of this machine.
By the way, can this piece used for lead-free reflow process ?
