Jeff - good guess but not correct. British Military standards are headed:
Def Std 59/47 or whatever.

Over here HMS stands for Her Majesty's Ship, so HMS-2411 might be a
destroyer....

Couldn't be a Hughes Military Standard? Just a thought.
