Perhaps the reason why there is no specific number is that it can vary
with manufacturing equipment tolerance. We have older equipment here,
and try to keep components well away from the edge of the board in order
to facilitate equipment and fixturing. Instead of looking at the
standards for a requirement, look at your manufacturing processes.

Hi TechNetters;

The Design group I manufacture boards for has asked me if I know what
the
minimum spacing requirements are from board edge to circuit.
I have looked through IPC-2221 and can't seem to identify anything.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
