Hi Brian and IPC LF Listservers,

Thanks,

One more comment and then I am done, since this subject is kind
of off the LF topic that this forum is supposed to serve.

<You are partially right. Where you are wrong is that you seem to be
restricting your remarks to the USA: it is a world-wide problem. >

I was most interested in the USA because I live and work here and
I really thought that those sheets had more discipline behind them
then you have noted. Small mistakes I understand, yet not huge ones.

World wide even in the EU I would expect this to be a bigger problem
than the USA. Beyond the federal agencies we have a patch work of
agencies and governments serving the public health as well as piles
of "watch dogs" so I expect us to be pretty darn good.

<The key point is the M in MSDS; the manufacturer is quite able to
<put in whatever rubbish he wants.

Well this isn't as I expect. These chemicals are used by hundreds
of USA based companies and companies world wide. I would expect
Chemical Safety, and General Safety Officiers in those companies to
go back to the sources and have the MSDS's corrected for huge health
errors that might cause them future employee law suits. Yet in my
career, although dealing with piles of these documents, I have never
had a need to go that far back up the chain to chase truth, justice.
If I was still close to some of those safety officiers I would ask
them for a heads up.

Again Thanks, and I will read the reference you posted.
