Hey Rudy S. - is there a chemical treatment potential/possibility?

Thank you for asking....the answer is a definite maybe...don't you love that?

Removal of the black should not be too difficult, I suspect. HOWEVER...what
do you do then? Immersion Gold plating solutions are not fun to be around..and
not easily managed. The good news in all of this is that immersion of a bare
board in Immersion Gold plating solutions should not harm the board, so if
you have access to an existing bath, the task at hand seems to be simply finding
something you can "paint on" to selected pads. And, my first thought would
be to look at the old, but still used, style of Tin/Lead stripper based on
Peroxide and Bifluoride. If somebody has some black pads they are willing to
donate, I will look at this, and make it a project in our lab.
