Edwin

A former employer manufactured medical electronics. The application was not life support, but operating room monitors were part of the product line. We required high reliability and long life. The boards were manufacrured to IPC class 2 with a few additions which addressed the manufacturer's production requirements. There is no reason why IPC Class 2 or Cass 3 requirements would not provide the quality and reliability necessary for life support.
