Hi All

A couple of days ago I posted a question about removing epoxy potting material to perform rework. I quickly realized that you weren't given enough information about the situation. Steve has been kind enough to post a picture of the part. The picture is of the part before Viton shrink sleeve covers the wires (teflon insulation on the wires) and the epoxy potting is added. The potting fills the cavity and mounds above the top edge. The cavity is about the size of a sewing thimble. The housing is 300 series stainless, the insulator between the housing and wire attachments is glass, and the wires are brazed to the ferrules. Go to stevezeva.homestead.com and look at hermeticheader.doc.

The question is: can the epoxy be removed without damaging the wires?

Thanks to those of you who responded to my previous post.
