As mentioned above, "pink poly" bags and cushioning are simply static
dissipative...there's quite a bit to watch out for with them obviously. What
concerns me is your statement that "The pink bubble wrap is used to wrap
PWBA that are bigger than those ESD bags that we ordered". This implies that
you believe the two are interchangeable. They are not. The purpose of
dissipative bags and metal coated/impregnated static shielding bags are
different. Make sure you're using the right bag. Any PWBA with MOS
semiconductors on it will be static sensitive. Using a shielded bag is
important. They're orderable in just about any size. Dissipative "pink poly"
bags are more often used to enclose non-static-sensitive devices/products
(e.g., resistors/capacitors/transformers) that are packed or stored near
static-sensitive ones.
