Hi Jean-P, and IPC-LF Listservers,
This is kind of an aside to this dialog.
<Because of a lack of lead-free reliabiliy models (in the public domain),
<there is no validated tool available (as far as I know) to extrapolate
<lead-free test cycles to use conditions.
At a recent IEEE or SMTA meeting I asked a Reliability Engineer from
an Elevator Company if they coordinated their reliability predictions
to field results. No was the answer, and they had a long history of
NO field feed back.
So I wonder how are we (reliability engrs/scientists) going to get
the field data considering how companies have de-evolved from a full
manufacturing service provider.
